The History of Abstract Art

Here is one of my more traditional pieces.

Abstract Art, known to have arose in the avant-garde movements of the late 19Th century with;
Impressionism, Neo-impressionism and Post -impressionism.
The listed movements reduced the importance of the original subject matter, fine art renaissance. From here the empathizes of creativity changed and progressed into self expression. The importance of capturing true nature became, at that time, secondary to the experimentation of the artistic process.
From the movements of impressionism, Artists discovered a new means of invoking the human sense and bringing a new perception and conception to the word art. We can see the light of expressionism being carried through world-wide, to the present day.
